What if?

A poem to make us think

A good few years ago now I came across this poem which I think raised some interesting questions about how our world could be if we viewed things differently. I tried to find it again about a month ago but wasn’t able to, and then very recently it popped up onto my Facebook feed in a completely serendipitous way, so I thought it needed to be shared with you all.

What if our religion was each other?

If our practice was our life?

If prayer was our words?

What if the Temple was the Earth?

If forests were our church?

If holy water the rivers, lakes and oceans?

What if meditation was our relationships?

If the teacher was life?

If wisdom was self-knowledge?

If love was the centre of our being?

These words certainly made me stop and think about my own approach to life. If it does the same for you, please let us know, we would love to hear your own thoughts.
